History
A FAMILY ESTATE Located in the heart of the AOC
The VIGNOBLE BERTINERIE has remained in the same family for almost two centuries.
The renovation of the estate, first begun when Daniel BANTEGNIES took over in 1961. When his two sons Eric and Frantz joined him in 1987 and 1990, they pursued the transformation of the 60 ha in “Lyra” trai ning vines under the c ontrol of the National Institute of Agronomy. It is now the largest “Lyra” estate in France . To this, we should add also the long term rental contracts for complementary vineyards managed by the Scea Bantegnies et fils, which makes a total of around 80 ha.
The VIGNOBLE BERTINERIE managed by the Scea Bantegnies et fils, is composed of several Châteaux:
Coming from Eric & Frantz’ grand Father, this “GFA Bantegnies” et fils belongs to Daniel, Eric et Frantz Bantegnies.
Estate based on the plots named « Manon » and « La Lagune », belongs to the « GFA des Vignobles Bantegnies », and belongs to Daniel Bantegnies and Monique Bertet.
Owned by a foreign investor, the Scea Bantegnies has signed a long term rental contract and produce the wines from this beautiful property.
The success of this family Estate is the fruit of a fantastic synthesis between
Innovation, Tradition and Expérience.
The complete estate BERTINERIE is 100% located at Château BERTINERIE, which hes been fully renovated in 2002 :
New cellar for welcoming the grapes, new winemaking cellar, new underground barrel cellar , but also a large and modern ballroom able to welcome over 200 people for dinners, parties, shows, exhibitions and lot of other events.
The VIGNOBLE BERTINERIE wines are sold in France at the Château, but also to high class French restaurants and retailers. Another good part is exported directly from the estate to se veral countries.
